Rhys Rhodes

Associate Counsel

Rhys is a litigation lawyer with a diverse practice in criminal law, administrative law, regulatory offences, and post-conviction advocacy. She has appeared in both the Provincial and Supreme Courts in British Columbia.

In her criminal practice, Rhys has handled numerous complex cases, ranging from homicide files to bylaw violations. She has also been involved in post-appellate work, handling several criminal conviction review applications based on miscarriages of justice.

Beyond criminal law, Rhys received her Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia with a Minor in Psychology. She earned her law degree from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia before articling at the UBC Innocence Project.

Outside the courtroom, Rhys is active in the legal community and beyond. She serves as a volunteer supervising lawyer of the UBC Innocence Project and dedicates her time to legal education as a community outreach lecturer with Pro Bono Students Canada.
